Nerd Lunch Podcast 12: NerdHF

This week we follow in the footsteps of Weird Al Yankovic and program our very own UHF stations. None of us are bold enough to reboot the Volcano Worshiper’s Hour, but we devise some interesting line-ups regardless. As long as it’s nerdy, we’ve got it all on NerdHF. A local creature feature host? Check. Classic 80s cartoons? Double check. Star Trek reruns? Of course. Angel reunion movies with David Boreanaz? Sure, why not. But wait, there’s more! All listeners will also receive the new Nerd To-Do List segment at no extra charge.

  1. Very cool idea! I'm going to work on my own TV schedule and Ill post it when done. I love old TV, and have a rather large collection of old TV shows/TV Blocks, most of it with the original commercials – I've been collecting them for a while now. It's really a fun hobby, any time I'm feeling a little down, I can pop in a block of Cartoons from a random Saturday in 1983 and it cheers me up in no time. You can go buy the DVDs for many of the cartoons of our youth, but there is something about watching episodes with all the bumpers, commercials and Station IDs that just takes it to the next level. So if you guys are looking for some specific TV station blocks of shows from the 70's/80's to relive your childhoods, let me know and I'll see what I have that I can send you.I have a partial list of my stuff here…I have a whole lot more to list yet.http://www.wix.com/plaidman76/raretvtradingLove the podcast guys!

  2. I love that we have inspired at least one person to sit down and program a TV station. These fictional TV stations need to be real!(Although, if they were, I would never get anything done…)

  5. Happy Thanksgiving to the Nerds, your families, and all of your many co-conspirators! We have enjoyed the many subjects you have shined your unforgiving lights on over the past year, consider you all friends, and hope this most "family" of holidays finds you all safe and comfy. Looking forward to another year of this lunatic camaraderie, we remain your humble fans, The Tyler Gang!

  6. Clowns! Listen, I don't actually know what you guys do for a living, but if you aren't off-network program directors, you're wasting your lives!BTW, you've given me an idea for a post, and when you're as boring as I am, that's a gift beyond price.Another fine job, gentlemen.
